Meighan over at My Love For You has set up a most excellent thing! She has collected a large group of artists to donate their art and 100% of the money made from sales will be donated to the Gulf Restoration Network. I have donated one of my limited edition prints, if you are interested in taking a look you can find it right here:
Definitely take a look at all the work on offer, Meighan has worked super hard to get this up and running and it is for a great cause.

I hope you had a lovely weekend, I threw on a thermal, braved the winter cold and spent Sunday in the garden. The last picture above is of one of the blueberry plants, they don't seem to be doing fantastically well but I have been reading everything I can about growing blueberries so hopefully, with a bit of tinkering, by Spring they will have found their feet!
What Katie Ate is a beautiful food photography blog (I just found it via Holly at Decor8). You will probably feel like eating the pictures, luckily she also provides the recipe so you can eat the real thing if you fancy it. This blog will make you hungry.
Here is my next show. To celebrate the latest issue of Kingbrown Magazine there is going to be an exhibition at The Butcher Shop. If you live in Perth you should go!
There's a new issue of Small Magazine out, once again it has the most amazing photo shoots and styling. I had to post all of these photos, they're just magic and provide a nice spot of escapism from a cold Melbourne winter...
My big news right now is that this is the very last week of Extended Play; our little gallery and studio in Northcote. Our one year lease comes to an end in June and we will be wrapping it all up. I can seriously say that for moments it has been one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done; nice people, great art and an opening night party once a month is an excellent way to pass the time. If I didn't have anything else to keep me busy running a little gallery would certainly be something I'd pursue. However, I do have lots of other adventures I want to embark on so I'm saying goodbye to this one. Fun was certainly had in the Flatlands of Northcote...

I have been thinking more and more about the countryside lately and this picture of her with her chickens made me smile.
Lately I have been finding some lovely artworks around the place. I'm becoming particularly interested in the idea of 'the dress'. These pieces by Nicole Dextras are beautiful...
At the moment Tiny Showcase has a beautiful print on offer by Jen Corace, it is very affordable and the best bit... $15 from each print sale goes to the Gulf Restoration Network. Already they have raised over $4000 which is fantastic. If you are interested go give some money to help a horrible situation and receive a very lovely artwork...
I am working on a new series of portraits, at the moment I'm thinking up their stories and playing around with particular colour schemes for each character.
I like the similarities of colour in these pictures.
I found these in the depths of my iphoto library so I apologise for having no links. If you recognise any of them please let me know the exact origin (from memory I think the top one came from a Slotin Fine Art auction and the second one has something to do with the Jane Campion movie Bright Star).
