My 2012 Calendar is here!

This year the calendar is made up of 12 single sided pieces of card, each month has one of my illustrations as you can see from these examples.

It will come nicely packaged in a heavyweight envelope so you have somewhere safe to keep the spare months.

It's full colour!
It's postcard size!
There is plenty of white space to scribble your notes!
All twelve months included!

... AND it's available to pre-order right here:

myfolklover.etsy.com

Thank you Thank you.

Please click on the image above if you would like to see each card in more detail.

p.s. I'll also be telling you about my calendar on my... ah... Facebook page. That's because I'm back on Facebook. I forgot about all the work contacts and old friends that I only have contact with over there, not to mention the 841 super lovely people who have clicked -like- on my art page.

I lasted three days! So lame.

Spinach

Spring has sprung around these parts and everything is green. I am growing and eating a lot of silverbeet, spinach, bok choi, lettuce and kale. Kale is a superfood apparently. Oh and this is Dot, she is attempting escape in the hope of making a quick dash to the veggie patch. Not likely little Dot.

In other news I just deleted my Facebook account. Yes, goodbye Facebook, I think you are an evil beast... the opiate of the masses, yadda yadda, first world problem and all that... I know, but never the less goodbye!

Yikes, what now?

Just kidding.

I think...

Working, working, working.

Coffee cup towers. (Not all drunk in one day). I would like to go and live in Tokyo, or on a Greek Island, or jump in a van and drive up the coast from Melbourne to Cairns.

Hello blog. I have not given you any attention in a very long time, I am aware of that. Part of the reason for this is that I signed a very official contract and am doing some exciting drawing type things behind the scenes. I will be back soon though with pictures of my own to show and tell, the sun is starting to shine again in this part of the world and that is always good motivation.

For now you could look over here at these beautiful illustrated ladies...

I found this guy called Saner in the latest issue of Juxtapoz magazine. I like his pictures. I can't read what he writes but I think he set his first solo exhibition on fire.

I found this guy last night in a documentary called Press Pause Play at the film festival. This is a beautiful thing. I am on a small film marathon at the moment.

Girl_lots

I have made peace with the Gocco. In fact I think we could almost be friends. While I'm still far from calling myself a professional I do like how these ladies turned out, each in their own haphazard way.

I have listed four of them for sale in my shop if you would like to take a look, they are of a very tiny signed edition... and are quite cheap and cheerful (as I'm still a novice of the little orange beast).

Gocco prints! I have worked back to front with the gocco... again, I never think gocco prints through because I'm always too excited to start the printing bit. I want to add the colour and I should have done that first, oh well I'm just going to add the colour second... four colours... two more screens! Super hitek. Stay tuned.

This is an illustration I did for the magazine of Imperial College in London. I had to illustrate Dr Beate Kampmann, she sounds like an amazing woman, she works on tuberculosis in children at a Medical Research Council unit in Gambia.
